Lot Full of Promises
On a used-car lot under a huge billboard reading “Absolutely No Hidden Problems,” a smiling salesman in a brown suit poses with one hand resting on the hood of a gold luxury sedan. Just behind him, two alarmed mechanics in work clothes lean over the open hood of another car as thick black smoke billows into the sky. Rows of cars fill the lot. The caption reads “Transparency is our policy.”
